Reactivity is hard to see one walk at a time
A bad walk feels like a bad walk. A good one feels like luck. It's only across weeks that the shape of it appears — the times of day that go better, the routes that don't, the distance where your dog can still hear you, the strategy that actually works.
CalmPaw is built for that. One tap during the walk, a short reflection after, and the pattern assembles itself.
During the walk, one tap is enough
Three buttons: Reacted, Redirected, Calm pass. Each one drops a marker where you are, in under a second, so you can put the phone away and go back to handling your dog. The route keeps recording with the screen locked, and lock-screen controls mean you rarely need to open the app at all.
No location? The walk still records as a timer.
The real work happens afterward
When you're home and calm, fill in what happened: what triggered it, how intense, how close, how long recovery took, what you tried, how it ended, how you both felt. It takes a minute, and it's the part that makes everything else possible.
Then the patterns show up
CalmPaw compares your own entries and tells you what it notices — quieter times of day, routes that go better than others, strategies that correlate with faster recovery, how this month compares to last.
These are observations, not prescriptions. There's no AI here and no model trained on other dogs: just fixed rules applied to what you wrote, so you can always tell where a conclusion came from. When it's time to talk to a vet or a trainer, the share pack turns thirty days of walks into a report you can hand over — with no GPS in it.
Your journal stays on your phone
This is the part we'd like you to check us on.
CalmPaw has no account, no servers, and no networking code at all. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting SDK, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party code in the app. Your dog's routes, your notes, and your medication logs are stored on your iPhone and are never sent to us, because there is nowhere for them to go.
Location is used only while a walk you started is running. Data leaves your device only when you personally export it.
Route history for a dog walk can reveal where you live and when you leave the house. That's exactly why it never leaves your device.

Free, with an optional upgrade
Walk recording, all three markers, the full post-walk reflection, medication tracking, basic insights, and CSV and JSON export are free.
CalmPaw Plus adds advanced insights, the vet-and-trainer PDF share pack, route playbooks, and encrypted household handoff to a partner's device. It's a monthly or annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase — prices are shown in the app.
Cancelling never deletes your journal. Your history stays, and export keeps working.
